Meet Assa O'Connor, founder of Anomali Art

Anomali Art was founded by Assa O’Connor to transform how art is experienced in corporate and hospitality environments.

We connect creativity, sustainability, and culture, leasing original artworks and curating rotating collections that bring life, meaning, and inspiration into everyday spaces.

Originally from Mali, Assa moved to France at the age of 12, where she studied Business (Bac Commerce).

Her early career at Galeries Lafayette taught her the power of visual storytelling through fashion and display. Later roles in hospitality and administration strengthened her organisational and people skills, qualities that now underpin her approach to running a creative business.

In 2013, she co-founded Dec-Assess Ltd, a construction training company, where she managed freelance assessors and operational delivery. This experience deepened her understanding of craftsmanship, training, and structured growth, all of which now influence the sustainable curatorial approach at Anomali Art.

The Vision Behind Anomali Art

Inspired by The idea for Anomali Art emerged during a 2021 trip to Nice, when Assa saw rotating artworks in a public space.how art could transform environments and spark conversation, she envisioned a platform that would bring artists’ work into places where it would be experienced daily, not just occasionally.

This vision came to life with Creative Currents at XCHG, 22 Bishopsgate in July 2025, marking the official launch of Anomali Art as a platform dedicated to curating art for workplaces, shared spaces, and hospitality environments.
